Q: I love the look of liquid eyeliner, but I never know where the line should begin and end. Do you have any tips? The line should begin at the inner corner of your eye and continue just a smidge past the outer corner. I like Maybelline New York’s limited-edition Ultra Liner in black; the wand is supertiny, which makes it much easier to apply. If you’re doing a bold eyeliner look, I would recommend keeping your cheeks minimal, but feel free to play up your lips. The winter is all about experimenting, so let your choices express who you are. Also, if you’re wary of eyeliner, use a bold mascara instead. Just like all great windows have amazing curtains or shades to enhance their views, think of the lashes as awnings for your eyes—and mascara will only increase their appeal.
